Nemea Studios
A production company is defined not by what it makes — but by how what it makes feels. Nemea makes films that move you without mistreating you.
01 — The Voice
A production studio is the sum of the decisions it refuses to make. Ours start here.
We do not make films that feel like other people's films. We make films that share a nerve — a way of being in the world.
Narratively reliable. Morally restless. Films that stay with you a few days longer than you expected.
Nemea is a production studio. We develop, finance, and supervise a curated slate of author-driven films — designed to travel, built to last. We do not make films any other company could make. We do not work with directors who are interchangeable. We do not produce cinema that leaves you where it found you.
Narratively
reliable.
Morally
restless.
Built to outlast the year of release.
02 — What We Believe
A film studio is not measured in a year. It is measured in a decade — in what people are still watching long after we have stopped explaining it.
Nemea films do not live off their year of release. They live off their decade.
We are not trying to be the biggest or the most awarded company — we are trying to be the most recognizable. The one whose voice, after ten years, cannot be confused with anyone else's.
The proof that Nemea has a voice will be this: someone will watch a film without knowing it is ours — and suspect it anyway. Not from the logo. Not from the director. Not from the genre. From something in the texture.
— A working theory
A studio earns its name the moment its films stop needing it.
03 — How We Find Films
The directors we want are almost never actively pitching us. They are halfway through making something quiet.
We watch shorts. We read early drafts. We follow cinematographers. We notice editors.
The directors we want are almost never actively pitching us — they are halfway through making something quiet. Our job is to recognize the work before the world has a name for it.
A film is a financing decision before it is anything else. We say yes early enough that the director can keep saying yes to themselves.
04 — Why Now
The window is not made of legislation. It is made of exhaustion — and exhaustion is opening doors that nothing else could open.
Audiences are not watching less — they are watching differently.
After a decade of algorithmic content, the platforms that built their audiences on volume are now competing on curation. MUBI spent $24M on a single title at Cannes 2025.
What AI cannot generate is a specific human sensibility. A voice. A texture. A way of cutting between two faces. A way of letting a silence run six seconds longer than another company would.
Latin American cinema has never had better infrastructure for a company like Nemea. The window is human. The window is now.
For Filmmakers
We do not want a deck. We do not want a logline polished into something it is not. Send us the work — finished or not — and a sentence about why you, and only you, can make it.
For Investors
Structure, returns, jurisdictions, schedule, financial model — all of it lives in the investor portal. The case is detailed there because it should be. Here was never the place.
— Connect
Filmmaker, investor, distributor, collaborator, or simply curious — we read everything that arrives. If we don't reply, it is because we are still thinking.
